Acting Style in Good Will Hunting.
One of the reasons for viewing this film is due to the critical acclaim given to Matt Damon and Ben Affleck for writing the screenplay and their subsequent portrayal of the two main characters. While watching, select a character to focus on. Pay close attention to that character and for homework, discuss the effectiveness of that character. Discuss the following:
1. Physical Appearance - what is noticeable about the costuming and physical depiction of the character? How does this represent the class of the character in the film?
2. Voice - how does the character speak? What types of words and expressions does the character use?
3. Relationships- how does the character interact with the other characters in the film? Do they play a major or supporting role? Are the relationships believable?
