Welcome everyone!
Today we went over the course outline. The important items are this blog address and to ensure that your parents provide me with an email address to which I can send my weekly newsletters.
Tomorrow we will start looking at Literary Terms and start defining them. You will need to make cue cards/flash cards to help you study these. Many students will keep these cards throughout high school as it will always be the first thing you review in an English class.
Homework: Write a letter to me (Ms. Island) introducing yourself to me. Include:
- basic biography items about yourself
- your past experiences with English (both positives and negatives)
- activities outside of school (extra curriculars, interests, responsibilities)
