Today in class we did the following:
1. Completed a worksheet on the Parts of Speech and the Parts of a Sentence.
2. Set the date for our Literary Terms Quiz. It will be next Thursday. The format for the quiz is: Part A: Definitions (I will give you 5 terms and you will define 4 of them); Part B Matching (You will match the terms to the definitions or examples provided). Approximately 20 terms will be covered on the quiz.
3. Took up all of the Sheet on Classic Trials. We had a good discussion and there were some pretty disgusted faces in terms of the justice system and classic examples of where trials did not seem fair.
Homework: Read chapters 1-3 of To Kill a Mockingbird. I tried to make sure those going to Leadership camp had a copy before they left, but some did not see me to ensure they had a copy. You will have to catch up on the reading if you did not get a copy before you left.
