Tonight review the main events (and ideas) in To Kill a Mockingbird. We will have a reading test tomorrow. It will test your knowledge and understanding of the events, characters, setting, and ideas presented in the novel. Some of these we will have covered in class in addition to your own understanding of the novel.
Also, study for the test on Thursday. It will be a sight passage (short story) that you read and answer questions on. You will first read the passage given, then look for literary devices present in the story. You will also have to discuss the affect of these devices on the reader (you). You will then answer questions posed based on the setting, symbols, and characters in the story. Please note: At least one of the questions will have you connect the story to To Kill a Mockingbird as I want to see you make connections between the two pieces of writing.
