Today in class we did the following:
1. I checked homework – specifically I checked that the initial paragraph outline and 14 flashcards were done. I will be contacting parents of students who did not have the work done.
2. We went over a series of paragraph outline examples. They ranged in quality from level R (20%) to a level 4 and 4+. We stopped and discussed each one in terms of why it was the level it was and noted the changes in each slide.
3. We then took some time to work on our outlines based on the examples we went over.
For Homework:
Complete the outline making the necessary changes and then write the rough copy. If the outline is done well, the rough copy should be easy and quick. You just need to figure out your transitions and connecting phrases. Also, bring your flashcards to class tomorrow as we will start the class by getting new terms and ‘flashing our friends’ to learn/memorize the terms we already have.
